To look at who’s seen your story, open your story and swipe up on the screen. You’ll see the number and the usernames of the people who have viewed each photo or video in your story. Only you are able to look at who’s seen your story.
- To see who has viewed your story on Instagram, launch the app, and tap on your story in the top left corner. At the bottom of the story, you should see a ‘Seen by’ button with display pictures over it. This means that your story has been viewed.
Can you see who views your Instagram stories?
Click the eye icon and you’ll be able to see your list of viewers. At the top of your screen, you’ll see that all your current Stories are displayed horizontally. You can tap on each Story to see viewer lists, making it easy to see who watched your Stories all the way through, and who dropped off.

Currently, there’s no option for Instagram users to see if one person has viewed their Story multiple times. As of June 10, 2021, the Story feature only collects the total number of views. However, you may notice that the number of views is higher than the number of people who’ve viewed your Story.
Why can’t I see who viewed my Instagram story?
Open Instagram and tap on your Story icon in the upper left corner. In the lower left corner you will see another users’ profile icon. This indicates that someone has viewed your Story. If you don’t see the icon in the lower left, it means that no one has viewed your Story.
Can you see who views your Instagram story if not friends?
With Instagram Stories, you can see exactly who views your Story. Unlike Instagram videos, which will show you a total view count, but not the names of the individuals who have viewed each one, Instagram Stories lets you see exactly who has taken a look.
How do you see who viewed your story?
To see who viewed a video on your Instagram story, you’ll have to tap the story while it’s still live. The total number will appear in the bottom left hand corner. Tap to scroll and view the names of all the users who’ve watched the story.
Did Instagram remove who viewed your story?
As of May 13, Instagram is no longer testing removing the number of views on the corner of your Story. As for the Story view count, make sure to keep updating your Instagram app and keep an eye out for a fix in the coming days.
How do you view a story on Instagram anonymously?
Once you’re logged in, you’ll notice a search icon in the upper right corner. Tap it and type in the handle of the Instagram account you’re trying to creep. Once their profile appears below the search bar, tap their profile picture to anonymously view their Instagram Stories in a feed format.
